85% Prugnolo Gentile. 15% Colorino, Canaiolo e Merlot Alcohol : 14% Maturation : A period of 14 to 16 months in wood. Two-thirds are refined in "barriques" and "tonneaux" of French Oak (80% second-use and 20% new), and one-third in traditional casks. Awards : RP 82pt Medium/deep garnet core, pale garnet rim. Intense nose showing some development with classic sour red cherries, a touch of leather and spice. On the palate this is medium/full bodied, with a fruity, bright sour red cherry initial attack, quite generous and broad across the mid-palate with a touch of old vine creaminess.
